Interpreting information in the Graph view

This chapter contains descriptions on how to interpret information in the Graph view.

Note

Note

The functionalities described in these articles are only available for VDS protocol-based vehicles. The information is intended for highly skilled technicians performing advanced fault tracing on faults that are difficult to identify and locate.

All descriptions are presented twice since the fault counter behaves differently depending on what type of DTC that is being monitored.

Description

Explanation

Unconfirmed DTC limit is +127

These descriptions cover DTCs in which the value of the Unconfirmed limit and Failed limit in the fault counter are the same, i.e. +127. This means that the DTC is unconfirmed and the test is failed at the same time. These DTCs are only able to point out permanent faults.

Unconfirmed DTC limit is less than +127

These descriptions cover DTCs in which the value of the Unconfirmed limit is less than the value of the Failed limit in the fault counter, i.e. less than +127. This means that the DTC is unconfirmed prior the test is failed. These DTCs are able to point out both permanent and intermittent faults.

Interpretation of each function in the Graph view are described in the following articles:
