DTC Extended Information

Control modules store certain history of DTCs (diagnostic trouble codes) like when the faults pointed out by the DTCs were first detected by the DTC tests, if the faults are permanent or intermittent, tendencies on how often the faults are detected by the DTC test, etc. This additional information is available in the DTC Extended Information window which is accessed by clicking a DTC under the DTCs tab on the Network, Fault Tracing or Components page. In this window it is also possible to run certain tests that are useful in order to understand the behavior of certain problems.
