Vehicle Communication

VIDA communicates with vehicles through scripts. On the Vehicle Communication page scripts designed to calibrate, monitor, configure and make changes to the control modules in the vehicles are available.

The Vehicle Communication page is disabled until the vehicle has been read out. See the article Connected Vehicles for additional information.

The following tabs are available on the Vehicle Communication page:

  • Parameters

    Contains functionalities that are used to read and analyze certain functions in control modules.

  • Activations

    Contains functionalities that are used to control certain features in the vehicle for functional diagnostics.

  • Programmed Values

    Contains functionalities that are used to read and program values in control modules to suit customer preference.

  • Advanced

    Contains functionalities that are used for various vehicle repair procedures.

You need to select a control module in the vehicle graphic to enable the tabs. Some of the tabs are not applicable for certain control modules. See each tab's article for further information.
