Extended Attributes

Control modules save certain history of DTCs like when they were first triggered, if they are permanent or intermittent, tendencies etc. For a selected DTC, this additional information is available in the Extended Attributes. This information can be useful in order to understand the behavior of a problem.

Fig. 199: The Extended Attributes

In the upper part of the window, the following information fields are available:

  • Conclusion After Update

  • Current Operation Cycle

  • Previous Operation Cycles

  • First time fault found

Click the icon to view explanations of the information fields. Refresh the fields by clicking the Update button. A pop-up will prompt you to perform certain actions on the vehicle. This is to ensure that all control modules are forced into a new operation cycle. Once these actions have been performed, click the OK button to trigger a new vehicle readout that updates the information fields.

Additional information for the DTC is structured under three tabs. See the subsections below for additional information.

Overview tab

Under the Overview tab, additional information and fault tracing instructions for the DTC are available.
