tab. On this page, the vehicles that are currently connected to your dealer network by Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable, are listed. Vehicles connected to a communication tool (The page is divided into three main sections:
A detailed description of each section is available below.
In the drop-down menu you can see the DiCEs that are paired to your VIDA workstation. It is possible to connect a vehicle manually by selecting an available communication tool (DiCE or Ethernet) from the drop-down list, in case an automatic readout is not possible. The button is enabled when the communication tool has been selected. Click this button to perform a readout of the vehicle connected to the communication tool.
By clicking the PIE is working, if the communication tool is functioning, and if specific control units are responding. See the article Advanced Test for further information.

Here it is possible to check the preparedness of the vehicle before starting a software download, check if connectivity withWhen a DiCE is selected from the drop-down list, a button to open the DiCE configuration tool is enabled. In the configuration tool it is possible to:
Check and update the firmware of the DiCE unit.
Test the DiCE communication with VIDA.
Remove a DiCE unit.
Once the communication tool is disconnected the vehicle is removed from the list.
Every time you open the VIDA scans for connected vehicles in the workshop. Ýou can also use the icon to scan for newly connected vehicles or to refresh the list, e.g. when a vehicle has been disconnected. All LAN connected vehicles (wired and wireless) in the workshop will be visible in the list together with the DiCE and peer-to-peer connected vehicles, connected to your VIDA workstation. If another VIDA user is currently working with a vehicle, that vehicle's row is highlighted in green and the users name is shown. This indicates to other users that the vehicle is currently in use by another user.
tabIn each workshop, one or many VIDA workstations are assigned to perform the auto readout for LAN connected vehicles (wired and wireless). The readout information is available to all the technicians in the same dealership (under the same Partner ID). DiCE and peer-to-peer connected vehicles are only visible to the VIDA workstation they are connected to.

Customer Name |
By clicking a customer name, the customer details are opened in a new window. If you have access to a DMS, the customer names are fetched from the DMS. If you have access to Volvo Central Database, the customer names are fetched from there. If the vehicle is associated to both owner and driver information, the owner information is shown by default. All vehicle relations of a customer are available in the Volvo Central Database customer details window. The icon represents workshop customers in My Customers list. This icon can be enabled or disabled by clicking, i.e. the customer/vehicle is added or removed from My Customers list. |

This field is only populated after a vehicle readout has been completed. For connected vehicles, an auto read is performed by the system. If there are active DTCs the warning icon is shown based on the readout data. Once the icon is clicked, the DTC details are shown in a pop-up window. |

Once you click a row in the list of connected vehicles, the VIN and other vehicle profile parameters are automatically populated in the Fine-tune Vehicle drop-down menus. From here it is possible to fine-tune the profile before you select the vehicle to open the tab.
If the VIN decoding is set to
the vehicle needs to be specified manually.Note

It is not possible to change the vehicles' model or year. These are fixed and linked with the VIN.
It is possible to send the vehicle profile to the DMS by clicking the
button (not applicable for all DMS).If you encounter any problem connecting a vehicle to VIDA there are certain actions you can try in order to remedy the problem. The actions differ depending on what vehicle communication method the vehicle you are trying to connect is using. Use the how-to articles below for instructions on how to perform these actions. The advanced test functionality (see section 1) is applicable for both vehicle communication methods.
