Searching from the Home tab

This procedure describes how to perform a search from the Home tab. Here it is possible to search for various information types unrelated to any specific vehicle profile.

From the Home tab, click the icon in the top menu bar.

ð	The search page is opened with vehicle profile turned off.

Select one of the following information types to search for by using the radio buttons.
- Parts
- Repair
- Product specifications
- Fault tracing
- Bulletins
- All information except parts catalog
- VCC ID

Note

It is not possible to search for CSC from the Home. CSC search can only be performed from Vehicle tabs.

Enter search criteria in the search field(s). The search fields that are available differ depending on what information type you have selected to search for.
Click the Search button to perform the search.

ð	The search results are shown in a list below the search fields.

Note

Once clicking a document title in the search result, a pop-up containing vehicle profiles is shown. This is because when you perform a search from the Home tab, no vehicle profile is set and VIDA needs to know what information you are looking for. When a vehicle profile is selected, a new Vehicle tab is opened, viewing the relevant information.
