Connecting a vehicle (D2 and GGD)

This procedure describes how to connect a D2 or GGD protocol-based vehicle.

Note

If a vehicle is already connected and occupied by another user or if you only need to see information about the vehicle, use the Select button. To perform fault tracing and software download, the vehicle needs to be connected according to this procedure.

Select the Connected Vehicles tab under the Home tab.
Connect a DiCE unit to the vehicle.
From the drop-down menu in the top left corner of the page, select the correct DiCE unit.
Click the Read Vehicle button.

ð	The VIN is read and the vehicle connected to the selected DiCE unit is shown in the list.

Click the Connect button for the vehicle.
If an earlier readout is found for the vehicle, a pop-up is shown with details of the previous readout. Click Update to perform a new complete readout or Cancel to use the previous readout.

ð	The vehicle is connected and assigned its own tab.
