A subscription and license is the property of Volvo Cars and granted to the licensee on the conditions stated in the VIDA license agreement. Any disposal such as sublicensing or vending is strictly prohibited.
A VIDA subscription contains one or more licenses. The number of licenses determines the number of users that can use and be included in the subscription. For each license one user can be logged in to VIDA. The VIDA user accounts are personal.
Example
If you have two VIDA licenses you can include two users in the subscription i.e. one per license. If necessary, both users can be logged in to different sessions on the same VIDA workstation.
For dealers, by default, VIDA comes with full functionality and access to parts and service information, Volvo Standard Times, diagnostic workflow and software ordering. Dealers can however, via VIDA Admin, limit access to functions for individual users.
For independent operators, VIDA is available in ten subscription packages with full or limited functionality and access to parts and service information, Volvo Standard Times, diagnostic workflow and software ordering. In order to be able to purchase software, independent operators need to have contact with an authorized Volvo dealer.
