Reporting an error

If texts or images in VIDA are incorrect or if something is missing or does not work properly, this needs to be reported. There are three possible options of error reporting available. The options available differ depending on what error reporting access privileges you have got. For instance, central error reporting is only available for sales companies. You may have access to send local reports only or you may have access to send both local and central reports. If you do not have access to send local or central reports, the only option available will be to report the problem by using email.

If an error is found in any of the documents in VIDA, an 'IE ID' for the current document can be accessed. Make sure that the correct window is selected and press [F12]. Use the IE ID as a reference when you report the error.

Local

 

In order to create a local error report, follow the procedure described below.

  1. Click the icon and Report Error in the upper right corner of VIDA.

  2. ð

    The Report Error window is opened.

  3. Select the radio button for local report type in the upper part of the window.

  4. Specify concern area and sub concern area by using the drop-down menus. Please refer to the document Quick guide to TIE for further information about the different concern areas and sub concern areas available.

  5. Once a sub concern area is specified, a list of log file attachments is shown. For some concern area and sub concern area combinations, the log files required are defined by TIE and these log files are preselected in the list shown. If no predefined list of logs is available, there is no need to attach any log files.

  6. Click the Submit button.

  7. ð

    VIDA automatically finds the relevant information and log files and creates a compressed folder that is sent to TIE.

     

    VIDA calls on TIE and TIE is opened in a new window.

     

    TIE opens the report template. The required log files are automatically attached, and the information that VIDA sent is added in the correct fields.

  8. Complete the report.

Central

 

In order to create a central error report, follow the procedure described below.

  1. Click the icon and Report Error in the upper right corner of VIDA.

  2. ð

    The Report Error window is opened.

  3. Select the radio button for central report type in the upper part of the window.

  4. Specify concern area and sub concern area by using the drop-down menus. Please refer to the document Quick guide to TIE for further information about the different concern areas and sub concern areas available.

  5. Once a sub concern area is specified, a list of log file attachments is shown. Report using email

 

In order to create an error report by using email, follow the procedure described below.

  1. Click the icon and Report Error in the upper right corner of VIDA.

  2. ð

    The Report Error window is opened.

  3. Select the radio button for reporting the error by email in the upper part of the window.

  4. Enter an email address to the recipient (an already established support contact) and a subject. A secondary recipient can be added as well.

  5. Select log files to attach by ticking the checkboxes.

  6. Enter a message to describe the problem (15 - 500 characters).

  7. Click the Send Email button.

  8. ð

    The email is sent.
