A DMS (Dealer Management System) can be connected to VIDA and makes it possible to, among other things, retrieve prices and stock status. A DMS connection also enables access to customer details and vehicle history as well as transferral of the work list to the DMS. For users who do not have access to a DMS, these functions are not visible in VIDA.

In this help file there are a number of references to 'DMS' to show a connection to such a system. In these cases 'DMS' is used as an example name but in VIDA the real name of the DMS will be shown instead.

Different versions of the DMS interface

There are different versions of DMS interfaces. Different dealers use different versions of DMS interfaces (H are currently the latest on the market, G and F are also used). Your ability to access potential functionality in a work list depends on the version of the DMS interface and how it is implemented.
