Finding part numbers on connectors

This procedure is only applicable for VDS protocol-based vehicles.

In the wiring diagram that you are currently working with, click the component that is relevant for the connector you are looking for.
Right click the component and select Component images.

ð	The Component images pop-up is shown.

In the drop-down menu, select the pin-out image that is relevant for the connector you are looking for.

ð	The selected pin-out image is shown.

Note the connector ID for the selected connector, e.g. 4/213.A or 10/261. You find this ID in the drop-down menu.
Go to the search page by clicking the icon in the top menu bar. Select to search for Parts and type the connector ID in the right search field. The left search field should in this case be left empty.

ð	The search results are presented below your entered search criteria.

Find the article that is relevant for the profiled vehicle. Pay special attention to the notes.
