Once entering the page, there are four text fields available:

Search field

Description

Mileage

Mileage of the vehicle (mile or km). This information needs to be entered manually.

Registration Date

Retail delivery date of the vehicle. This information is automatically retrieved from a central Volvo system.

Service Date

The date in this field is automatically set to today's date.

License Plate

Registration number of the vehicle. This information can either be retrieved from your DMS or be entered manually. This information is included in the service checklist printout.

Note

Note

All search fields except License Plate are mandatory.

When the information has been entered in the fields, manually or automatically, available service plans are fetched by clicking the View button. All available service plans for the currently selected vehicle are presented in a list. Adapted service may only be used if the vehicle has run less than half of the maximum service interval (market dependent).

View content of service plan

Once a service plan is selected, all its included and additional operations are presented in a list. The included operations are required operations for the service plan. These operations are selected by default. The additional operations can be added if needed, based on the vehicle's condition and the customer's preferences and approval.

The service plan list is structured in the following columns:

Column

Description

ID

Operation number.

Description

Operation title.

Service Task

By clicking View, the Service Task window is opened for selected operation. In this window you can see all the tasks that are included in the operation. These tasks will be included in the service checklist printout.

Labour Cost

Price of operations in the list, i.e. the labor cost.

Package

If there is a package available for an operation, this is indicated with a icon. By clicking this icon, a pop-up is opened from which you can see details of the package and add it to a work list. Parts included in the package can be added separately to a work list or parts list, if desired.

Please note the following:

  • If you add a package to a work list, the operation and parts are automatically included.

  • If you add an operation to a work list, the package is not automatically included. This is the default behavior but you can change this by using the 'Add packages if available' checkbox. See the table below for additional information about this function.

  • There is often a max quantity limit (1) for each package you add to a work list.

Above the service plan list, the following functions are available:

Function

Description

Add packages if available

By ticking this checkbox, packages (if any) are automatically included when operations are added to a work list. If this checkbox is not ticked, packages need to be added manually as described in the table above.

Labour Cost/Hour

By using this drop-down menu, you can change the labor rate of the operation. Selectable labor rates are fetched from and managed in VIDA Admin. This information is only visible to users with a DMS connected to VIDA.

Retrieve from 'DMS'

Click this button to populate the service plan list with price information from the DMS. This button is only visible to users with a DMS connected to VIDA.

Incl. VAT

Tick this checkbox to include VAT for prices. This checkbox is only visible to users with a DMS connected to VIDA.

Select operations to add by using the checkboxes on the left-hand side of each row in the service plan list. From the drop-down menu below the list, you can select the list you want to add the operation(s) to. Your currently active (last selected) list is selected by default but you can change to another list or to create a new one. Retrieve a quick view of a list by clicking View List. When desired list is selected, click the Add to List button to add the selected operation(s).

Note

Note

You can only add service plan operations to one single work list per vehicle. Once any operations have been added, the title of the Add to List button changes to Update to List.

Print service checklist

Once operations have been added to a work list, the Print Service checklist button is enabled. Clicking this button generates a printer friendly checklist of the selected service plan.

Fig. 58: Print service checklist

You can use the radio buttons and add comments before printing the service checklist. Please note that this information is not saved when the window is closed.

Language settings for service checklist printouts

On the left-hand side of the Print Service checklist button, a drop-down menu containing all VIDA languages is available. Here you can change the language of the content in service checklist printouts to another language than the VIDA application language. Changing language can e.g. be useful when having a customer talking another language than the default VIDA language. Note that all application texts always follow the default application language and will not be affected by the language selected in this drop-down menu.
