Connecting a vehicle to VIDA by cable

These procedures describe how to connect a vehicle to VIDA by cable.

Note

These procedures are only applicable for VDS protocol-based vehicles.

Connecting the cable to the vehicle

 

  1. Use the special Volvo OBD to Ethernet (VOE) adapter provided by Volvo Cars.

  2. Connect the Ethernet cable to the adapter.

  3. Attach the cable and adapter to the OBD socket.

Connecting the cable to a VIDA workstation

 

  1. Put the end of the cable that is not in the vehicle directly into an available Ethernet socket in the computer.

  2. If no Ethernet socket is available, you can use a USB Ethernet adapter.
