Parts

This page provides access to all parts in VIDA for the current vehicle model. The parts are catalogued and can be added to a work list or part list. Search parts by using the tree structure or the free text search functionality.

The page is divided into two main sections:

Fig. 73: The Parts page

1. Search and tree structure panel

Use the search box above the tree structure to expand a specific node by typing a function group number. You can also use the search box to search by part number or part description. If you use the search box to expand the tree structure, you do not need to click the icon. However, when searching by part number or part description, you need to click the icon, to perform a search on the entered search string.

Note

Note

When searching for a part number, the complete number must be entered. A missing figure must otherwise be replaced by a wildcard character ( [*] ).

The information in the tree structure is structured in function groups, according to the information structure in VIDA. Find the relevant part you are looking for by digging down into the information structure by clicking.

When a part is found by search or selected in the tree structure, the navigation tree is automatically hidden and the part listing is shown. The navigation tree is opened again by pressing the [SPACE] bar on your keyboard.

2. Reference image and list of parts

Once a part is selected by search or from the tree structure, relevant parts are listed in the right-hand panel. The navigation tree is automatically hidden and replaced with a reference image of corresponding parts.

Note

Note

You can switch between the navigation tree and the reference image by pressing the [SPACE] bar on your keyboard.

Language settings

In the upper right-hand side of this page, a drop-down menu containing all VIDA languages is available. Here you can change the language of the parts to another language than the VIDA application language. Changing language can e.g. be useful when communicating with a customer talking another language than the default VIDA language. Note that all application texts always follow the default application language and will not be affected by the language selected in this drop-down menu. This dynamic language change only affects the parts on this page. Previously opened tabs or any tabs that will be opened later will not be affected.

Note

Note

Search within parts will follow the dynamic language.
