General Operations

On this page you can search and add operations to a work list for jobs not defined in time studies. For these operations, no information about time or skill levels is specified.

Note

Note

General operation numbers are only used when a specific operation applicable to the repair does not exist. A general operation number is denoted by the figure “9” as the fifth digit of the operation number and does not use a type code number.

The page has two main sections:

1. Search and tree structure panel

In the search field, you can search for a general operation by entering the operation number or a search string. Perform the search by clicking the icon. The search function also supports search by key words.

Below the search function, the general operations are presented in a tree structure, structured by function group. Each function group in the tree structure can be expanded by clicking the icon until you find the right function.

2. List of operations

When a search has been performed or a function is selected from the tree structure, a list of operations is presented in the right-hand panel.

The list is structured in the following columns:

Column

Operation No.

Operation number.

Description

Title of the operation.

Select operation(s) to add by using the checkboxes on the left-hand side of each row in the list. From the drop-down menu below the list, you can select the list you want to add the operation(s) to. You can also select to create a new one. Retrieve a quick view of a list by clicking View List. When desired list is selected, click the Add to List button to add the operation(s).

Note

Note

It is not possible to have more than max quantity (often 1) of an operation or package in a list. If the max quantity is already reached when adding and item, this is indicated with a notification.

Language settings

In the upper right-hand side of this page, a drop-down menu containing all languages that are included in the Operations and Packages functionality on your market is available. Here you can change the language on the descriptions of the operations and packages to another language than the VIDA application language. Changing language can e.g. be useful when communicating with a customer talking another language than the default VIDA language. Note that all application texts always follow the default application language and will not be affected by the language selected in this drop-down menu. This dynamic language change only affects the operation and package descriptions on the Operations and Packages pages. Previously opened tabs or any tabs that will be opened later will not be affected.

Note

Note

Search within Operations and Packages will follow the dynamic language.
